This Friday (September 19th) I’m going to play a concert For&With Refugees.
Some of them will tell their stories, a choir from Syria and a group
from Birma will perform songs from their country, a girl from Somalia will read a poem in Dutch, another girl from America will join me on the accordion and will play a few of her songs.I hope that many of you will come!

All entrance fees go to the Palet Charity for the reunion of seperated refugee families.

I long for the raised voice, the howl of rage and love!

Hey People!
Living in an artist community is most of the time very exciting:
We are doing a great little festival: BACKSTAGE FESTIVAL! YEAH!
Really cool for families and music lovers.
7 bands, mainly friends of our community will play for eight long hours music that has everything: wild, pretty, mystical, rocking melodies (come and hear! I’ve seen most of the bands live, I promise:you won’t regret it)!
We have food and drinks, a playground for kids, a flea market, arts and hopefully lots of sunshine!

Es ist die meiste Zeit ziemlich aufregend in einer Künstlerkommunität zu leben:

Wir haben Essen und Drinks, einen Kinderspielplatz, Flohmarkt, Kunst und hoffentlich viel Sonnenschein!

Our last concert at the Malzfabrik for Berlin’s Design Company PEIX was quite nice.
Beside playing our songs we enjoyed the night with best food, cocktails and awesome looking dancing people!

Sklaven in Ketten sieht man schon lange nicht mehr.
Doch das heisst nicht, dass sie verschwunden sind.
Weltweit befinden sich 30 Millionen Kinder, Frauen und Männer
in brutaler Arbeitssklaverei, Zwangsprostitution und anderen Formen gewaltsamer Unterdrückung-ohne Möglichkeit dem zu entfliehen.

Die Menschrechtsorganisation International Justice (IJM) Mission kämpft weltweit für die Freiheit und die Rechte Betroffener.
Die Musikerin Sarah Brendel hat im März zwei Projekte von IJM in Indien besucht. Als deren Botschafterin singt und erzählt sie am 14. Juni im Adventshaus in Dresden über das, was sie dort erlebt hat.
Unterstützt wird sie von Judith Kühl, die durch Geschichten, Fakten und Kurzfilme das Programm ergänzt.
